Know Your Grunge!

The result of a conversation I had recently is this quiz I made up to test your knowledge of grunge music. These lyrics are all from popular "grunge" songs from the early 1990s - all were released as singles too. How many can you identify?
"Sell the kids for food"

"They're farming babies while the slaves are working"

"Holding rare flowers in a tomb"

"I'm looking California and feeling Minnesota"

"And this is my kind of love, it's the kind that moves on"

"Drag me far enough to know - I'm blind every mile that you burn"

"I'm gonna learn ya my philosophy, you wanna know about atrocity"

"Rests his head on a pillow made of concrete"

"They really want you but I do too"

And, if it doesn't go without saying -- NO GOOGLING!

I listen to a lot of alt.rock, grudge, hard rock, emo, garage, indie, and peripheral music, but I never pay attention to the lyrics. Not being a native speaker it makes it extremely difficult for me to figure out what shouting-rock or hip-hop singers are talking about. Most of the time I can't make out the bulk of the lyrics. So I don't even try. Few exceptions might be when I really like a song, and I google, find and try to learn its chorus by reading it.
The only lyrics I usually learn to sing along by myself are Madonna's, as she sings in plain english without shoutings/hip kind of talking. That's one of the reasons I listen to her, as she makes it easier for me to follow her.
So while I probably know (and like) all the songs you mention here, I have no clue which songs these are. :)
